As far as I know NAV uses a private chain as part of their privacy options. PIVX is 100% open.
Other than that, we do feel a bit uncomfortable having to compare ourselves as we are focused on doing the best while leaving the "compare" part to you.
PIVX offer 100% privacy, fast TX and staking/MN advantages. Soon, it will be possible to have limited private trade within the client and later this year a LocalBitcoin style trading platform based on PIVX will also appear.
PIVX is community based (not company/coorp based) where everybody has a FORMAL (and informal) say.
