Okay I have a recurrent problem

In my app often use an Alert Dialog to receive feedback from user (ask for an input or require a confirmation). The function responsible for generating and showing the dialog, often returns a boolean as an indicator that the action took place (for example, a confirmation of deletion of an item, which returns true if user agreed or false if canceled the operation). I tend to use the value returned by this functions, in order to determine what to do next in the flow of my app. What I get is that after the dialog closes, it doesn't follow as expected (for example, delete the item or refresh some value). It isn't until the next time I try to do the same action, that the action does what it was expected to do.

Try to find examples on the internet and understand why it works this way and doesn't work the way you want it to.

у меня появилась таска на показ бэдж-иконки  с количеством непрочитанных сообщений... как вариант делать бэкграунд джобу на феч данных с сервера... Но у меня недопонимание процесса.... у меня при неактивности пользователя через полчаса тупо отрубается сессия.. а на сервере через 2 часа по-любому отруб идет... можно ли как-то это дело урегулировать?

Постоянное соединение с сервером? Почему не FCM?

I have a lot more of googling and independence that what u think I have, facts are all I know about Android I learned it by myself and my app is going well and I'm quite proud. But I decided to get into some community developer group in order to make my working pace more agile, since having the little experience and knowledge I have in Android development, sometimes it takes me a huge amount of time to find out something that was kind of basic and if someone that knew something about it had told me or guide me i wouldn't have wasted so much time, which I kind of lack of

I'm wasting much time not because idk how to Google properly, but bc I have cero knowledge about Android development concepts and i don't even know the names of what I'm looking for

What I need is counseling or guidance from someone with knowledge
