It started with a Facebook post and video that said the foreigner raised his middle finger. Pulling no punches the text said that this was terrible and outrageous behavior.
Locals said that he had been seen in the area of the market many times always without a mask.
One female trader offered to give him a mask to wear.
"I don't have Covid", he responded turning down the offer.
He was reportedly denied entry to the market but continued to mill about and displaying poor behavior to officials who confronted him.
The Hang Dong police are now trying to find him. Non-mask wearers can be fined up to 20,000 baht though a first offence is usually 6,000 baht, notes Thaivisa.
