Advice zero: there are a lot of methods (learning with a teacher, SRS, a lot of practise, etc), try a little bit of everything and find a one that works better for you
Advice one: Tae Kim's grammar guide, get a good dictionary, read/watch a lot of stuff (the more you like it the better), try to understand most of it
