i worked in various communities, including security protocols, and in many of them if you want to empty the room, you say "categories" and everyone leaves. so you adapt the language. that social effect is at least to some extent a consequence that the category theory community at some point in the 70s started sounding like a political party. eilenberg hated that, but others had such instincts. so people started thinking of it as some sort of ideology. and such misunderstandings have a self-realizing power...
