Here is a short description of how it works:

At the end of every 24 hours, the supply could change depending on the rate for the day as indicated below. (Using the 2019 USD {currently ~$1.01} as the target rate)

  ✅ Oracle rate above approximately $1.061 is positive rebase. Supply increases

  ✅ Oracle rate between $1.061 - $0.961 no rebase. No change in supply

  ✅ Oracle rate below $0.961 negative rebase. Supply goes down

When there is a supply increase or decrease, everyone's token will undergo the same change proportionally. Thus, if you hold 1% of AMPL when total supply is 1 million, you will still hold 1% of AMPL when the total supply is 100 million assuming you did not sell or add to your portfolio. Change in supply changes the amount of tokens you have but your share/percentage of the total supply stays the same.
