Keukenhof will not open on March 21 due to the corona virus. The flower park does this because of government measures, which require events with more than 100 people to be canceled.
"The fact that Keukenhof cannot open is a huge disappointment with major financial consequences for everyone involved," the park said in a statement. "The dismay among the employees and partners who have worked on the preparation for a year is great. The park is currently ready for the opening, the flower bulbs are blooming and the flower shows have been largely arranged."
