Sorry for the delay at this end since your calls with the team. You may have seen that we announced a further £300m Series C funding round last week, and this has caused things to be a little hectic in the aftermath. Super exciting, of course! But bad timing as far as the end of your process has been concerned.
Having properly caught up with the team this morning, I'm really sorry to say that we won't be able to move forward with you to the final stage of the interview process. A lot of the team's concerns stemmed from the technical aspects. On your tech session, I was told that there were a number of small issues that added up to cause the interviewer some doubts. Heavy usage of var properties, as well as a lack of consistent architecture and including a DataProvider in UIViewController, were all not ideal parts of your solution. On the culture fit side, there seemed to be agreement between interviewers that your interest in
Blockchain.com and the crypto world was pretty light, and you didn't appear to be someone who would be joining us because of your passion for what we are building.
Sadly, therefore, I'm disappointed to have to say that we won't be moving forward with you on this occasion.
This is a huge shame, and I'm really sorry to be breaking bad news to you. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you very much for all of your time and effort with us throughout the process until now.
