Some network OS implementations, like Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and IOS-XR, will ignore OSPF external routes when redistributing OSPF into BGP by default. This is useful because any BGP routes redistributed into OSPF will not be considered for redistribution from OSPF back into BGP
