I have EUR in cash in case sth happens to me in EU, but in Russia, e-payments are so ubiquitous, you basically need cash maybe once a year

Yeah, that sucks. Now that I think about that, I actually have cash in USD, EUR, GBP, some thai currency, some Belarus RUble, but not in RUR

yes, but i cant imagine it'd be any different in any other country (I don't want to get into details to make a point). And yes, I don't use cash at all in my daily live, though there are places where it's need; I just don't get there.
