I have both the Blue Icicle and the Shure adapter hooked in. I think the sound comparison between the two is not that much different. Both had clarity and no audible problems. The Blue Icicle feels less durable and only has one control which I've noticed has a sweet spot to work well. The Shure product volume control is easier to control. In my opinion, either one will work well for daily use. I've had my Blue Icicle for a few years and it still is going strong. Picking between the two, the Shure is the winner for the added controls and side headphone jack just to make sure the sound coming in is nice, However as mentioned The Blue Icicle is cheaper and still works so which ever is more appealing to you price vs. more control.
