Great news! Let me ask as the TVL star on Binance LaunchPool, what achievements has BTCST and in turn Tau Protocol made on Binance?
It is great to be part of a team that created the first hashrate token on Binance Smart Chain. When we launched on Binance Launchpool, our TVL on Binance approached 1.5 Billion USD! With Tau, we are building this first on BSC due to our current implementation already being on BSC, however we have partnered up with Tron recently to do some amazing things there with Tron Century Mining! This bridge was inevitable, as both Tron and BSC have high throughputs with low tx fees.

That's awesome! Now that BTCST has finished its redenomination split and resumed trading, can you share with us the community and market responses to the split?

The community response has been positive. One of the reasons the BTCST community voted for the 1:10 token redenomination is to provide a more robust foundation for Tau Bitcoin staking. Previously with only 1.5M BTCST tokens, we would have had to go into many decimal places in the way we display staking rewards. After the token split, the numbers would be easier to read with less decimal places for our stakers and users.

Next question, the community has voted to approve the STP 5: Maya Resolution Community Vote. Could you brief us on the reason behind the vote as well as the community's response to the outcome?

We have just wrapped up STP 6 community voting actually, which goes into the way the Tau Protocol will distribute airdrop rewards and staking rewards for the initial 2,100 Tau Bitcoins on the Tau Protocol. Here are details for STP 6: Archimedes https://btcst.medium.com/stp-6-archimedes-proposal-%CF%84bitcoin-initial-liquidity-and-airdrop-parameters-937f53e2368f

For STP 5 Maya, we took an overall look at the project and figured that with the hash power we have, this is more than enough to effectively sustain Tau staking. Therefore we felt that there is no need to “print” more tokens until the community decides to. As a matter of fact, we are looking into upping the hashrate for each BTCST token in existence, which would make BTCST stakers receive even more BTC rewards. Stay tuned for more regarding this.

Great, thanks for sharing. Now my question is why did BTCST join the TRON ecosystem? We’ve also seen BTCST join the TRON Century Mining; what do you think this would bring to users and the industry as a whole?
источник

A

Ady in TRON Foundation Russia
Absolutely, BTCST joined TRON because TRON is a blockchain that also provides extremely fast transactions and low gas fees like BSC. This felt like a natural fit in the sense that BTCST aims to decentralize Bitcoin mining to everyday users. Everyday users would find gas fees of 40-100 USD per transaction too much to handle on Ethereum, for example.

TRON Century Mining is a wonderful initiative that we are happy to be a part of. DeFi yield farming and staking on TRON is just starting out, so we believe users would be able to see the extremely fast transactions and low gas fees on TRON. We hope the industry as whole see that some blockchains are more suitable for bringing DeFi to the masses.

Great response, thanks for sharing your opinion, the last question: Tim Swanson, former Director of Research at R3 Global who created the τ protocol, recently joined the BTCST team as a Protocol Advisor. What kind of impact do you expect this to have on the overall BTCST ecosystem?

Great response, thanks for sharing your opinion, the last question: Tim Swanson, former Director of Research at R3 Global who created the τ protocol, recently joined the BTCST team as a Protocol Advisor. What kind of impact do you expect this to have on the overall BTCST ecosystem?
Having someone like Tim on board would be extremely beneficial for not only BTCST, but for the whole DeFi movement. Tim wrote a paper in 2015 called “Consensus-as-a-service: a brief report on the emergence of permissioned, distributed ledger systems”, and in this paper he brought up the idea of permissioned blockchains, which is still used as diction throughout the blockchain industry to this day. He has also been cited on major news media due to his work as a trailblazer in the blockchain space.

Tim will advise BTCST on implementation and strategy, and he will lead the development of the Tau Protocol as it expands into more use cases beyond synthetic assets mining. The BTCST team is looking forward to working with Tim closely to fully bridge the world of Bitcoin mining to the DeFi and beyond!
