You need to check the pdf file first whether it is scanned or image or native pdf file

Just click on the pdf if you can able to select anything then it is normal pdf, if you could not select anything then it is scanned or image pdf.

I meant to say manually you check first can able select any text from pdf it is normal pdf, if you could not it's a scanned pdf
