Kava is a blockchain designed from the ground up to solve this problem. The Kava Labs team forsaw the limitations of DeFi on Ethereum and saw the opportunity to bring DeFi services like KAVA and HARD to the greater crypto landscape.
We have full documentation about how our platform works. Importantly it works today. If you look at kava.io/overview you can see BTC, XRP, BNB and other assets used as collateral already on Kava to minto USDX. You can also visit hard.kava.io to see those same assets getting used in the HARD money market to genereate a return.
HARD is a very powerful application that has the potential to grow into the billions of dollars in TVL. It can address a market much larger than its counterparts in Ethereum. With this in mind, any say or control over such a decentralized platform is very valuable - for the voting rights and fees that might be taken.
Doing simple math, if 1% fee on $1 B in borrower value is implemented, it generates $10,000,000 in value for HARD holders. While not implemented yet, this is very powerful.
