Децентрализованных мессенджеров / соцсетей много, но как (и зачем) их совместить с блокчейном я хз

ну вот тг начал сливать "террористов"

а если сливается мелкая группа, сливать всех остальных на порядок проще, но да, тут есть альтернативы вроде ToX

а вот у соц.сетей нет альтернатив

в нынешних свобода слова невозможна (facebook/twitter), а альтернативные соц.сети где она была, активно блокируются

Помню лет еще 5 назад читал статью с перечнем проектов децентрализованных соцсетей

Практически все они требовали установки специфического по на свой пк, думаю это основная причина, почему они не взлетели

Это были те романтические времена, когда по соцсетям был хайп как сейчас по блокчейну и каждый пилил свою соцсеть

Дефицит свободы слова это да, пиздец, скоро люди просто будут встречаться и разговаривать между собой голосом, ужас

А в чем сложность то?

Scaling Skywire is a nightmare. Distributed messaging or scalling out the messaging infrastruture is difficult.

We have to rebuild telegram basicly, lol.

Decentralizing the messaging infrastructure, will take a year. It has to be done in five stages.

The technical details of the messaging backend, would be longer than both Skycoin consensus, blockchain and scripting language documentation combined.

but scaling it to 100 million nodes on the network is something else. We cannot end the whitelisting until there is solution for bringing all the nodes on the network, without the backend imploding from the message volume.

Telegram is using regional clusters, probably and fully replicating everything. And using one central sign on point. You autenciate, then get a process on their server, that feeds you data from their internal network. Stream the channel feeds, buffers group messages, notifications, person to person messages, etc

And telegram message volume is actually very low, its just for humans. While Skycoin's system will be doing machine to machine communication and have significantly more data (but we do not have to retain the data forever).
